INVESTOR GOAL AND CHALLENGES

To create a temporary yet highly aesthetic and professional sales office for Pekabex Development’s new development on Milczańska Street in Poznań. The main objective was to transform the raw interior of a shipping container into a cosy, elegant customer service point that builds trust and supports the sales process.
The main design and engineering challenge was to make the most of the container’s very limited space. It was necessary to create a reception area, two private consultation areas for advisers, staff facilities with a kitchenette and a printer, and a full-size toilet. In addition, the project required the construction of the entire technical infrastructure from scratch (including a dedicated electrical switchboard) as well as external and internal branding.

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS AND MATERIALS

• Privacy and Zoning: To ensure comfort during negotiations with clients, the space has been divided by a central, open, openwork shelving unit made of wood and slats. It delineates the advisers’ work areas without making the interior appear smaller.
• Architecture of Detail and Concealment: Decorative wooden slats have been fitted to the walls; these not only echo the shelving unit but also serve a practical purpose – they discreetly conceal the cabling for the wall-mounted display televisions. An eye-catching, illuminated Pekabex Development logo has been placed on the main wall.
• Functional Utility Area and Kitchenette: Bespoke joinery was fitted in shades of beige (Pfleiderer Cashmere) and natural oiled oak, featuring the TIP-ON handle-free system. The fitted units seamlessly incorporate a kitchenette (with a microwave and fridge), a wardrobe and a reinforced recess for a heavy-duty printer and investment brochures.
• A cohesive bathroom in bottle green: The bathroom has been designed in an elegant style with large-format tiles in a shade of beige (Arona Beige / Legnar), combined with walls painted in a deep bottle green above the ceramic tiles, black fittings and an oval, LED-backlit mirror.
• Complete Building and Electrical Infrastructure: A complete electrical installation was carried out from scratch, including a dedicated on-site distribution board, linear LED and track lighting, a plumbing and drainage system with a water heater (boiler), as well as air conditioning and electric heating.
